Abstract:
[Problem] To allow pressing force to be accurately measured in a pressure sensor. [Solution] A pressure sensor 3 in a pressure detection device 1 has a piezoelectric sheet 21 for generating a piezoelectric signal corresponding to the imparted load. A touch detection part 7 detects contact with the pressure sensor 3. An acquisition part 45 acquires piezoelectric output based on the piezoelectric signal. A rate-of-change-calculation unit 49 calculates the rate of change with respect to time of the piezoelectric output acquired in a desired time range before a touch detection point in time at which the touch detection part 7 detects contact with the pressure sensor 3. A pressing force calculation unit 47 calculates the pressing force by correcting, using the rate of change, the piezoelectric output acquired after the endpoint time of the time range used to calculate the rate of change.
