Abstract:
(EN) Embodiments of the invention provide a hollow cable for conveying radiofrequency and/or microwave frequency energy to an electrosurgical instrument that can fit within, e.g. slide relative to, the hollow cable. The hollow cable provides a bipolar electrical connection to the electrosurgical instrument that is maintained when the electrosurgical instrument is rotated relative to the hollow cable. The cable may comprise a hollow coaxial transmission line having a rotatable component mounted at its distal end. The rotatable component comprises a longitudinal passageway continuous with the hollow coaxial transmission line. The rotatable component is rotatable relative to the transmission line and comprises a first and second conductive portions that are respectively electrically connected first and second terminals on the coaxial transmission line and which are configured to maintain an electrical connection with their respective terminal when rotated relative to the coaxial transmission line.
(FR) Des modes de réalisation de l'invention concernent un câble creux pour transporter une énergie aux radiofréquences et/ou aux hyperfréquences vers un instrument électro-chirurgical qui peut s'adapter à l'intérieur du câble creux, par exemple coulisser par rapport au câble creux. Le câble creux permet une connexion électrique bipolaire à l'instrument électro-chirurgical qui est maintenue lorsque l'instrument électro-chirurgical est pivoté par rapport au câble creux. Le câble peut comprendre une ligne de transmission coaxiale creuse ayant un composant pivotable monté à son extrémité distale. Le composant pivotable comprend une voie de passage longitudinale continue avec la ligne de transmission coaxiale creuse. Le composant pivotable est pivotable par rapport à la ligne de transmission et comprend des première et seconde parties conductrices qui sont électriquement connectées respectivement à des première et seconde bornes sur la ligne de transmission coaxiale et qui sont configurées pour maintenir une connexion électrique avec leur borne respective lorsqu'elles sont pivotées par rapport à la ligne de transmission coaxiale.
