Abstract:
(EN) An electric arc furnace (EAF) including a set of mast hydraulics, a current transformer, a voltage transformer, a legacy control system and a set-point modifier. The legacy control system is in control of the set of mast hydraulics of the EAF, and receives information from the current transformer relative to current being supplied to the EAF and from the voltage transformer relative to voltage being applied to the EAF. The legacy control system using a set of set-points for the control of the set of mast hydraulics, the voltage and the current of the EAF. The set-point modifier communicates with the legacy control system, and executes the steps of: evaluating a cost function of key performance indicators of a previous heat of the EAF, the key performance indicators including electrical energy use and/or electrode consumption; and altering the set of set-points dependent upon the cost function.
(FR) L'invention concerne un four à arc électrique (EAF) comprenant un ensemble hydraulique de mât, un transformateur de courant, un transformateur de tension, un système de commande patrimonial et un modificateur de points de consigne. Le système de commande patrimonial commande l'ensemble hydraulique de mât de l'EAF, et reçoit des informations en provenance du transformateur de courant relatives au courant qui est fourni à l'EAF et en provenance du transformateur de tension relatives à une tension qui est appliquée à l'EAF. Le système de commande patrimonial utilise un ensemble de points de consigne pour la commande de l'ensemble hydraulique de mât, de la tension et du courant de l'EAF. Le modificateur de points de consigne communique avec le système de commande patrimonial, et exécute les étapes consistant : à évaluer une fonction de coût d'indicateurs clés de performance d'une chaleur précédente de l'EAF, les indicateurs clés de performance comprenant la consommation d'énergie électrique et/ou la consommation d'électrode; et à modifier l'ensemble de points de consigne en fonction de la fonction de coût.
