Abstract:
The invention relates to a circuit for operating light-emitting diodes in a grid-compatible manner, said circuit comprising: n LED chains each having a particular ordinal number N, n being an integer greater than 1 and N being an integer greater than 0; an overall supply voltage connection to which a time-dependent supply voltage, particularly a rectified AC voltage, can be applied; and an LED chain connection which is configured such that as the supply voltage increases, the individual LED chains are connected with ordinal numbers N going up, and as the supply voltage decreases these are disconnected with ordinal numbers going down, a controlled resistive circuit being associated with said overall supply voltage connection and being configured such that up to a first limit current and/or from a second limit current, an ohmic resistor is connected in order for the input current of the lights to be more sinusoidal.
