Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Wasserabscheider (10), insbesondere in Form eines Kraftstofffilters für ein Kraftfahrzeug. Der Wasserabscheider (10) weist einen Wassersammelraum (30) auf. Der Wassersammelraum (30) ist mit einem Überlaufventil (38) gegenüber einer Ableitungs-Durchgangsausnehmung (34) verschlossen. Das Überlaufventil (38) weist einen Schwimmer (44) auf, der leichter als Wasser, aber schwerer als Kraftstoff, insbesondere schwerer als Dieselkraftstoff ist. Der Schwimmer (44) schwimmt bei im Wassersammelraum (30) angestautem Wasser auf und gibt die mit dem Überlaufventil (38) fluidisch verbundene Ableitungs-Durchgangsausnehmung (34) frei, über die das angestaute Wasser abfließen kann. Kraftstoff öffnet demgegenüber das Überlaufventil (38) nicht, so dass nur im Falle einer Wasserstauung eine Ableitung über die Ableitungs-Durchgangsausnehmung (34) aus dem Wasserabscheider (10) erfolgt, wodurch der Wirkungsgrad des Wasserabscheiders (10) stark erhöht wird. Die Ableitungs-Durchgangsausnehmung (34) ist bevorzugt fluidisch mit einem Kraftstofftank des Kraftfahrzeugs verbunden. Zum regulären Wasseraustrag aus dem Wassersammelraum (30) ist dieser vorzugsweise mit einer Wasseraustragseinrichtung verbunden.

The invention relates to a water separator (10), in particular in the form of a fuel filter for a motor vehicle. The water separator (10) has a water collection chamber (30). The water collection chamber (30) is closed with an overflow valve (38) with respect to a discharge through-cutout (34). The overflow valve (38) has a float (44) which is lighter than water but heavier than fuel, in particular heavier than diesel fuel. The float (44) floats up when water backs up in the water collection chamber (30) and frees the discharge through-cutout (34) that is fluidically connected to the overflow valve (38), via which cutout the backed-up water can flow away. By contrast, fuel does not open the overflow valve (38), such that discharge from the water separator (10) via the discharge through-cutout (34) takes place only in the event of water backing up, and as a result the efficiency of the water separator (10) is greatly increased. The discharge through-cutout (34) is preferably fluidically connected to a fuel tank of the motor vehicle. For regular water removal from the water collection chamber (30), this fuel tank is preferably connected to a water removal device.

L’invention concerne un séparateur d’eau (10), se présentant en particulier sous la forme d’un filtre à carburant pour un véhicule automobile. Le séparateur d’eau (10) comprend une chambre de collecte d’eau (30). La chambre de collecte d'eau (30) est fermée par rapport à un évidement traversant d’évacuation (34) au moyen d’une soupape de trop-plein (38). La soupape de trop-plein (38) comprend un flotteur (44), lequel est plus léger que l’eau, mais plus lourd que le carburant, en particulier plus lourd qu'un carburant diesel. Le flotteur (44) flotte lorsque l’eau s’est accumulée dans la chambre de collecte d'eau (30) et libère l’évidement traversant d’évacuation (34) en liaison fluidique avec la soupape de trop-plein (38) par lequel l’eau accumulée peut s’écouler. Par contre, le carburant n’ouvre pas la soupape de trop-plein (38), de sorte qu’une évacuation du séparateur d’eau (10) en passant par l’évidement traversant d’évacuation (34) n’a lieu qu’en cas d’accumulation d’eau, de sorte que cela augmente fortement le degré d’efficacité du séparateur d’eau (10). L’évidement traversant d’évacuation (34) est de préférence en liaison fluidique avec un réservoir à carburant du véhicule automobile. Pour évacuer régulièrement l’eau de la chambre de collecte d'eau (30), cette dernière est de préférence reliée à un dispositif d’évacuation d’eau.
