The present invention relates to an optical window for transmission of electromagnetic radiation, the optical window comprising a substrate having a first and a second surface, wherein microstructures cover at least part of one of said surfaces, said microstructures being dimensioned and arranged so as to provide a predetermined transmittance at a predetermined wavelength or wavelength span in the infrared range, and wherein nanostructures cover at least part of the microstructures so as to provide a self-cleaning surface.

La présente invention concerne une fenêtre optique pour la transmission de rayonnement électromagnétique, la fenêtre optique comprenant un substrat ayant une première et une deuxième surface, des microstructures recouvrant au moins une partie de l'une desdites surfaces, lesdites microstructures étant dimensionnées et agencées de manière à obtenir une transmittance prédéterminée à une longueur d'onde ou plage de longueur d’onde prédéterminée infrarouge, et nanostructures recouvrant au moins une partie des microstructures de manière à former une surface autonettoyante.
