Abstract
(EN) The present invention discloses a method for fusing or contacting reactor and reagent droplets in a three-phase microfluidic or millifluidic system with one of the phases being continuous, in which the reagent droplet is injected in the droplet train before it coalesces or contacts with the reactor droplet. More specifically, the reagent droplet detaches from the reagent inlet before being in contact with the reactor droplet. The method of the invention involves two successive but not concomitant steps: first producing in the droplet train a droplet of a reagent which breaks-up from the reagent reservoir before the second step of merging. The invention also discloses a milli/microfluidic device whose equivalent circuit is represented on figure 11.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un procédé de fusion ou de mise en contact de gouttelettes de réacteur et de réactif dans un système microfluidique ou millifluidique à trois phases, l'une des phases étant continue, la gouttelette de réactif étant injectée dans le train de gouttelettes avant qu'elle ne coalesce ou entre en contact avec la gouttelette de réacteur. Plus précisément, la gouttelette de réactif se détache de l'orifice d'entrée de réactif avant d'entrer en contact avec la gouttelette de réacteur. Le procédé de l'invention, en deux étapes successives mais pas simultanées, comprend : en premier lieu, la production dans le train de gouttelettes d'une gouttelette d'un réactif qui se sépare du réservoir de réactif avant la seconde étape de fusion. L'invention concerne également un dispositif micro/millifluidique dont le circuit équivalent est représenté en figure 11.
