A method for a wireless device capable of receiving and transmitting a signal includes receiving a reference signal from a second wireless device through a communication channel, estimating the communication channel, using the reference signal, selecting a pair of an analogue digital converter (ADC) quantizer and an input distribution, based on the estimated communication channel, and sending information on the selected input distribution and the ADC quantizer to the second wireless device. A wireless device capable of wirelessly receiving and transmitting a signal includes a transceiver configured to receive a reference signal from a second wireless device through a communication channel, and a processor configured to estimate the communication channel, using the reference signal, selecting a pair of an ADC quantizer and an input distribution, based on the estimated communication channel, and sending information on the selected input distribution and the ADC quantizer to the second wireless device.

L'invention concerne un procédé destiné à un dispositif sans fil capable de recevoir et d'émettre un signal, comprenant les étapes consistant à recevoir un signal de référence en provenance d'un deuxième dispositif sans fil via un canal de communications, à estimer le canal de communications, à utiliser le signal de référence, à sélectionner une paire constituée d'un quantificateur de convertisseur analogique-numérique (ADC) et d'une répartition d'entrée, d'après le canal de communications estimé, et à envoyer au deuxième dispositif sans fil des informations sur la répartition d'entrée et le quantificateur d'ADC sélectionnés. Un dispositif sans fil capable de recevoir et d'émettre sans fil un signal comprend un émetteur-récepteur configuré pour recevoir un signal de référence en provenance d'un deuxième dispositif sans fil via un canal de communications, et un processeur configuré pour estimer le canal de communications, en utilisant le signal de référence, sélectionner une paire constituée d'un quantificateur d'ADC et d'une répartition d'entrée, d'après le canal de communications estimé, et envoyer au deuxième dispositif sans fil des informations sur la répartition d'entrée et le quantificateur d'ADC sélectionnés.
