Abstract

Scale identifier systems and methods for generating a log of scale type and location in subterranean formations, and, more particularly, in wellbore tubing are provided. A method for scale identification may be provided. The method may comprise providing a first logging tool comprising a tool body, a neutron source coupled to the tool body, and detectors coupled to the tool body; providing a second logging tool for measuring deviations in inner diameter of a tubing in a wellbore; placing the first logging tool and the second logging tool into the wellbore; logging the interior of the tubing with the first logging tool and the second logging tool to generate data; and generating a log of scale location and type from the data.

L'invention concerne des systèmes et des procédés d'identification de dépôts servant à produire une diagraphie de type et d'emplacement de dépôts dans des formations souterraines, et plus particulièrement dans un tubage de puits de forage. Elle se réfère à un procédé d'identification de dépôts qui consiste à : prévoir un premier outil de diagraphie comprenant un corps d'outil, une source de neutrons couplée au corps d'outil ainsi que des détecteurs couplés au corps d'outil ; prévoir un second outil de diagraphie pour mesurer les écarts du diamètre intérieur d'un tubage dans un puits de forage ; mettre en place le premier outil de diagraphie et le second outil de diagraphie dans le puits de forage ; mettre en oeuvre une diagraphie de l'intérieur du tubage à l'aide du premier outil de diagraphie et du second outil de diagraphie afin de produire des données ; et produire une diagraphie d'emplacement et de type de dépôts à partir des données.
