The present invention refers to a process for the electrolytic deposition of a zinc or zinc alloy coating on a metallic substrate, a zinc coated metallic substrate having a specific gloss as well as an aqueous alkaline plating bath for the electrolytic deposition of a zinc or zinc alloy coating on a metallic substrate and the use of a zinc plating bath additive in a process for the electrolytic deposition of a zinc or zinc alloy coating on a metallic substrate and for improving the optical appearance and/or the adhesion of a zinc or zinc alloy coating on a metallic substrate.

L'invention concerne un procédé de dépôt électrolytique d'un revêtement en zinc ou alliage de zinc sur un substrat métallique, un substrat métallique revêtu de zinc doté d'un brillant spécifique, ainsi qu'un bain de placage alcalin aqueux pour le dépôt électrolytique d'un revêtement de zinc ou d'alliage de zinc sur un substrat métallique et l'utilisation d'un additif de bain de zingage dans un processus de dépôt électrolytique d'un revêtement de zinc ou d'alliage de zinc sur un substrat métallique, afin d'améliorer l'aspect optique et/ou l'adhérence d'un revêtement de zinc ou d'alliage de zinc sur un substrat métallique.
