Novel processes, and intermediates, for making alkylated arylpiperazine and alkylated arylpiperidine compounds of the general formulas (I) and (VII), respectively wherein, R1 and R2 are individually selected from hydrogen, alkyl, substituted or aikyl; n= 0, 1, or 2; Y = NR3R4, QR5, or SR5, where R3 and R4 are individually selected from acyl or su!fonyl, and where R5 is aryi or heteroaryi, or heterocyclic; and Ar is an aryl, heteroaryl, or heterocyclic compound.

L'invention concerne de nouveaux procédés, et intermédiaires, pour la fabrication de composés d'arylpipérazine alkylée et d'arylpipéridine alkylée représentés par les formules générales (I) et (VII), respectivement, dans lesquelles formules R1 et R2 sont choisis individuellement entre l'atome d'hydrogène et un groupe alkyle ou alkyle substitué; n = 0, 1 ou 2; Y = NR3R4, QR5 ou SR5, R3 et R4 étant individuellement choisis entre un groupe acyle et un groupe sulfonyle et R5 représentant un groupe aryle, hétéroaryle ou hétérocyclique; et Ar représente un groupe aryle, hétéroaryle ou hétérocyclique.
