Abstract

The present invention provides tissue expanders comprising biodegradable, chemically cross-linked hydrogels which are elastic in the dry state. These biocompatible tissue expanders are self-inflating and membrane-free. They swell slowly and elicit minimal negative tissue responses, while allowing for rapid and easy manipulation by the surgeon at the time of emplacement.

La présente invention concerne des dilatateurs de tissus contenant des hydrogels réticulés chimiquement et biodégradables, qui sont élastiques à l'état sec. Ces dilatateurs de tissus biocompatibles sont auto-gonflants et exempts de membrane. Ils gonflent lentement et déclenchent des réponses tissulaires négatives minimes, tout en permettant une manipulation rapide et aisée par le chirurgien au moment de la mise en place.
