The present disclosure discloses a filter media construction wherein at least two layers of a substantially open spacer and at least two layers of a filter media/material are combined in an alternating sequence and coiled around a core to form at least two distinct, continuous or segmented, coil-shaped fluid flow channels that are contiguous but separated by the filter media in radial direction and extend axially from an inlet side to an outlet side of the filter media construction preventing direct fluid flow between the clean and dirty sides of the filter media construction. The spacer maintains substantially uniform width of flow channels in flow direction providing substantially uniform fluid flow. One flow channel is closed to fluid flow at the inlet side forming the clean side and the other flow channel is closed to fluid flow at the outlet side forming the dirty side of the filter media construction.

La présente invention concerne une construction d'élément filtrant où au moins deux couches d'un espaceur sensiblement ouvert et au moins deux couches d'un élément filtrant/matériau filtrant sont combinées en alternance et enroulées autour d'un noyau pour former au moins deux canaux d'écoulement de fluide différents, continus ou segmentés, en forme de bobine, qui sont contigus mais séparés par l'élément filtrant dans la direction radiale et s'étendent axialement depuis un côté d'entrée jusqu'à un côté de sortie de la construction d'élément filtrant, empêchant l'écoulement de fluide direct entre les côtés propre et sale de ladite construction d'élément filtrant. L'élément d'espacement maintient une largeur de canaux d'écoulement sensiblement constante dans la direction d'écoulement, fournissant ainsi un écoulement de fluide sensiblement constant. Un canal d'écoulement est fermé à l'écoulement de fluide sur le côté d'entrée formant le côté propre, et l'autre canal d'écoulement est fermé à l'écoulement de fluide du côté de sortie formant le côté sale de la construction d'élément filtrant.
