Abstract
(EN) A method for obtaining gain compensated electromagnetic logging while drilling propagation measurements includes rotating an electromagnetic logging while drilling tool in a subterranean wellbore. The tool includes a plurality of transmitter antennas and a plurality of receiver antennas symmetrically spaced along a logging while drilling tool body with the transmitter antennas including at least one axial transmitter antenna and at least one transverse transmitter antenna and the receiver antennas including at least one axial receiver antenna and at least one transverse receiver antenna. Electromagnetic voltage measurements are acquired from the receiver antennas while rotating. The acquired voltage measurements are processed to compute harmonic voltage coefficients. Ratios of selected ones of the harmonic voltage coefficients are in turn processed to compute gain compensated quantities including symmetrized and anti-symmetrized quantities.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé destiné à obtenir des mesures de propagation électromagnétique de diagraphie en cours de forage à compensation de gain, qui comprend la rotation d'un outil électromagnétique de diagraphie en cours de forage dans un puits de forage souterrain. L'outil comprend une pluralité d'antennes d'émission et une pluralité d'antennes de réception, espacées de façon symétrique le long d'un corps d'outil de diagraphie en cours de forage, les antennes d'émission comprenant au moins une antenne d'émission axiale et au moins une antenne d'émission transversale et les antennes de réception comprenant au moins une antenne de réception axiale et au moins une antenne de réception transversale. Des mesures de tension électromagnétiques sont acquises depuis les antennes de réception pendant la rotation. Les mesures de tension acquises sont traitées afin de calculer des coefficients de tension harmonique. Des rapports de certains coefficients sélectionnés parmi les coefficients de tension harmonique sont à leur tour traités afin de calculer des quantités à compensation de gain, y compris des quantités symétrisées et antisymétrisées.
