Abstract
(EN) There is a known approach of blending silica into a tire in order to enhance the mileage of the tire. However, the silica ends up elevating the Mooney viscosity of the rubber composition. Increasing the blended amount of softener does reduce the viscosity, but then the impact resistance is lowered. Silica is moreover known to be difficult to disperse in rubber, and therefore there is a technique for adding a silane coupling agent having a highly reactive group such as a mercapto group, but there is also a problem that the hardness and scorching performance are adversely affected if the dispersibility of the silica is raised too much. In the present invention, the problems are solved by a rubber composition obtained by blending 5-200 parts by mass of silica relative to 100 parts by mass of a diene-based rubber, 1-20 mass% silane coupling agent having a mercapto group relative to the mass of the silica, and 1-20 mass% glycerin mono-fatty acid ester derived from a C8-24 fatty acid relative to the mass of the silica.
