Abstract
(EN) In scale-out storage in which a plurality of physical storage systems are combined and offered as a single virtual storage system, in order to establish a logical path in such a way that deterioration in the input and output performance between a host computer and the virtual storage system is prevented, if, when a volume is being allocated to the virtual storage system, a logical CU establishing a logical path to the volume has not been allocated, a logical CU and a volume are created in a storage system in which the number of allocated logical CUs and the storage capacity being used are low. Meanwhile, if there is a storage system to which a logical CU has already been allocated, a volume is created in said storage system. However, if the storage system resources are insufficient, another logical CU having a low access frequency is transferred to another storage system having plenty of resources, or a logical CU is added to another storage system having an adequate communication bandwidth, and a volume is created therein.
(FR) Dans un stockage évolutif dans lequel une pluralité de systèmes de stockage physique sont combinés et proposés sous forme de système de stockage virtuel unique, afin d’établir un chemin logique de telle manière qu’une détérioration dans les performances d’entrée et de sortie entre un ordinateur hôte et le système de stockage virtuel soit empêchée, si, lorsqu’un volume est attribué au système de stockage virtuel, aucune CU logique établissant un chemin logique vers le volume n’a été attribuée, une CU logique et un volume sont créés dans un système de stockage dans lequel le nombre de CU logiques attribuées et la capacité de stockage en train d’être utilisée sont faibles. Parallèlement, s’il existe un système de stockage dans lequel une CU logique a déjà été attribuée, un volume est créé dans ledit système de stockage. Cependant, si les ressources du système de stockage sont insuffisantes, une autre CU logique ayant une faible fréquence d’accès est transférée vers un autre système de stockage disposant d’une grande quantité de ressources, ou une CU logique est ajoutée à un autre système de stockage possédant une largeur de bande de communication suffisante, et un volume est créé à l’intérieur de ce système.
(JA)  物理的な複数のストレージシステムをまとめて1つの仮想ストレージシステムとして提供するスケールアウト型ストレージにおいて、ホスト計算機と仮想ストレージシステム間に入出力性能が劣化しないように論理パスを確立するため、仮想ストレージシステムへのボリューム割当て時、ボリュームへの論理パスを確立する論理CUが未割当てならば、割当て済み論理CU数や使用している記憶容量の少ないストレージシステムに論理CUとボリュームを生成する。一方、論理CUを割当て済みのストレージシステムがあるならば、そのストレージシステムにボリュームを生成する。ただし、ストレージシステムのリソースが不足している時は、アクセス頻度の低い別の論理CUをリソースが豊富な別ストレージシステムに移動するか、通信帯域が十分な別のストレージシステムに論理CUを追加して、ボリュームを生成する。
