Abstract:
(EN) An enhanced elastomeric stator assembly and method of making the same is disclosed. The elastomeric stator may be structurally, thermally, and/or chemically enhanced through the incorporation of graphene particles, cross-linkable polymers, coupling agents that extend cross-links, and by the reduction of filler material. The graphene particles can be incorporated in functionalized or non-functionalized form or in a combination thereof, the functionalized graphene increasing the number of cross-links in the overall structure, thereby enhancing the structural robustness of the elastomeric stator. The compound can be formulated to have a relatively low viscosity and other characteristics that allow the material to flow through a mould cavity.
(FR) Cette invention concerne un ensemble stator élastomère amélioré et son procédé de fabrication. Le stator élastomère peut être structuralement, thermiquement, et/ou chimiquement amélioré par incorporation de particules de graphène, de polymères réticulables, d'agents de couplage qui étendent les réticulations, et par réduction du matériau de charge. Les particules de graphène peuvent être incorporées sous une forme fonctionnalisée ou non fonctionnalisée ou une combinaison des deux, le graphène fonctionnalisé augmentant le nombre de réticulations dans la structure globale, améliorant ainsi la robustesse structurale du stator élastomère. Le composé peut être formulé pour avoir une viscosité relativement basse et d'autres caractéristiques qui permettent au matériau de s'écouler dans une cavité de moule.
