Abstract:
(EN) A cable boot is mounted to a telecommunications module housing an optical component, wherein the cable boot extends outwardly from the module. The cable boot is mounted by axially passing the cable boot over a plurality of cables carrying fiber optic signals leading to the optical component, axially passing a portion of the cable boot through a cutout defined on a main housing of the telecommunications module, placing a boot retainer over the boot in a direction transverse to the axial direction to capture the flexible boot against movement both in the axial direction and the transverse direction, and mounting a cover on the main housing to capture the boot retainer against the main housing.
(FR) Une gaine de câble est montée sur un module de télécommunications qui abrite un composant optique, cette gaine de câble s'étendant vers l'extérieur depuis le module. Le montage de ladite gaine de câble consiste à la faire passer axialement par-dessus une pluralité de câbles transportant des signaux de fibres optiques et menant au composant optique, à faire passer axialement une partie de la gaine de câble à travers une découpe pratiquée sur le boîtier principal du module de télécommunications, à placer un élément de retenue de gaine par-dessus la gaine dans une direction transversale par rapport à la direction axiale afin d'empêcher la gaine souple de bouger à la fois dans la direction axiale et dans la direction transversale, et à installer un couvercle sur le boîtier principal pour immobiliser l'élément de retenue de gaine contre le boîtier principal.
