(EN)A 3D broadcast receiver, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises: a tuner for receiving broadcast signals including three-dimensional (3D) video data for 3D broadcast content; a decoder for parsing an FPA SEI message, parsing 3D video format information which is included in the FPA SEI message to identify the format of a 3D video, parsing default display window (DDW) information, active format description (AFD) information, and bar data, which are included in the 3D video data, and decoding the 3D video data; a 2D extraction unit for extracting a 2D image for 2D display from a video frame of the decoded 3D video data, according to the 3D video format information and the DDW information; a ratio conversion unit for rendering the extracted 2D image to fit the aspect ratio of a receiver, by using the AFD information and the bar data information; and a display processing unit for displaying the rendered 2D image.
