(EN)The present disclosure provides a process for oxidation of p-xylene to terephthalic acid. Recovery of fluid medium and valuable chemicals is carried out using p-xylene as fluid medium which is also the starting material. The recovered stream containing p-xylene, acetic acid and other valuable chemicals is recycled to the oxidation step. The process disclosed in the present disclosure is energy efficient and cost effective.
(FR)La présente invention concerne un procédé pour l'oxydation de p-xylène en acide téréphtalique. La récupération du milieu fluide et des produits chimiques de valeur est réalisée en utilisant du p-xylène en tant que milieu fluide qui est également le matériau de départ. Le flux récupéré contenant du p-xylène, de l'acide acétique et d'autres produits chimiques de valeur est recyclé vers l'étape d'oxydation. Le procédé décrit dans la présente invention est économe en énergie et rentable.
