Abstract:
(EN) The present disclosure relates to a compact polymer gel consisting of disentangled ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene (dis-UHMWPE), at least one nucleator, at least one filler and at least one fluid medium. The present disclosure also provides a process for the preparation of the compact polymeric gel and fibers from the compact polymeric gel of both low and high denier values. The fibers prepared in accordance with the present process have tensile strength ranging from 2.5 to 13 GPa, tensile modulus ranging from 100 to 270 GPa.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un gel polymère compact constitué d'un polyéthylène à ultra haut poids moléculaire démêlé (dis-UHMWPE), d'au moins un agent de nucléation et d'au moins un milieu liquide. La présente invention concerne également un procédé de préparation dudit gel polymère compact et des fibres obtenues à partir de ce gel présentant des bas deniers et des hauts deniers. Les fibres préparées selon le présent procédé ont une résistance à la rupture comprise entre 2,5 et 13 GPa et un module d'élasticité en traction compris entre 100 et 270 GPa.
