Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for determining the reference air filling for calculating the ignition advance of a controlled-ignition engine operating on an operating cycle comprising a phase of admitting air to the engine in which a variation in the quantity of intake air between two operating cycles (Qn, Qn-1) performed in the controlled-ignition engine is determined (13), a transient regime of the controlled-ignition engine is identified (13) when the variation in the quantity of intake air is above a threshold value, characterized in that when a transient regime is identified, a quantity of intake air (Qpred) for the air intake phase of the forthcoming operating cycle is estimated and the estimated quantity of intake air (Qpred) is retained as reference air filling (Qref) for calculating the ignition advance of the forthcoming operating cycle.
