(EN)A method for removing halogen oxyanions, in particular chlorine and bromine, by hydrogenation reduction catalysed with supported catalysts based on rhenium and noble metals of subgroup VIII of the Periodic Table of the Elements is herein disclosed. The combination of the noble metals with rhenium has proved to considerably increase the catalytic efficiency of such metals.
(FR)L'invention concerne un procédé d'élimination d'oxyanions d'halogène, en particulier de chlore et de brome, par réduction par hydrogénation catalysée avec des catalyseurs supportés à base de rhénium et de métaux nobles du sous-groupe VIII de la classification périodique des éléments. Il a été démontré que la combinaison des métaux nobles et du rhénium augmentait considérablement l'efficacité catalytique de ces métaux.
