Title: PICTURE CODING AND DECODING METHODS AND DEVICES
Abstract:
The present invention provides picture coding and decoding methods and devices. The coding method comprises: selecting, according to pixel sample characteristics of a current coding unit (CU) and adjacent CUs of the current CU, a coding mode from A types of predetermined prediction coding modes with different prediction characteristics and matching coding modes with different matching characteristics to perform prediction or matching coding on the current CU, and using the selected coding mode as an optimal coding mode, wherein the A types of prediction coding modes and matching coding modes comprise: a prediction coding mode, matching coding mode 1, matching coding mode 2, …, and matching coding mode A-1, and A is an integer greater than or equal to 2; and using the optimal coding mode to perform prediction coding or matching coding on the current CU. By means of the technical solution, the problem in the related art of lacking a technical solution for performing high-efficiency coding or high-efficiency decoding on a screen is solved, and a rapid and high-efficiency coding or decoding process is achieved.
