Abstract:
(EN) An apparatus for drying a stream of compressed gas from an oil free compressor is disclosed. The apparatus has a one or more vessels that contain a drying media in the form of tubes of desiccant bound with polymer material. The tubes are arranged so that the compressed air entering the vessel passes along the tubes. There is also an after-cooler for reducing the temperature of the compressed air and an arrangement of pipes and valves connecting the vessel to the after-cooler. The valves are arranged so that the vessel can work in a purge mode where the hot compressed air passes through the vessel without having passed through the after- cooler and works in a drying mode where the after-cooler cools the air before it passes through the vessel. Ideally the apparatus is arranged with a pair of vessels where the hot compressed air passes through a first vessel, through the after-cooler then through the second vessel before switching to pass through the second vessel, after-cooler then the first vessel.
(FR) L'invention concerne un appareil de séchage d'un flux de gaz comprimé à partir d'un compresseur sans huile. L'appareil possède un ou plusieurs récipients contenant un milieu de séchage sous la forme de tubes de déshydratant lié à un matériau polymère. Les tubes sont disposés de telle sorte que l'air comprimé entrant dans la cuve passe le long des tubes. L'invention concerne également un post-refroidisseur pour réduire la température de l'air comprimé et un agencement de tuyaux et de vannes reliant le récipient au post-refroidisseur. Les vannes sont agencées de telle sorte que le récipient peut fonctionner en mode purge où de l'air comprimé chaud passe à travers le récipient sans être passé à travers le post-refroidisseur et fonctionne en mode séchage où le post-refroidisseur refroidit l'air avant qu'il passe à travers le récipient. Idéalement, l'appareil est agencé avec une paire de récipients où l'air comprimé chaud passe à travers un premier récipient, à travers le post-refroidisseur puis à travers le second récipient avant de commuter pour passer à travers le second récipient, le post-refroidisseur et ensuite le premier récipient.
