Abstract:
Provided are a hybrid type work vehicle that increases a vehicle speed limit speed, and a work vehicle control method. The work vehicle is provided with a power transmission device and a control unit. The power transmission device includes a mode switch mechanism. The mode switch mechanism switches a drive force transmission route in the power transmission device to one of at least two modes. The at least two modes include a first mode and a second mode used in a speed ratio range higher than the first mode. When the vehicle speed belongs to a range above a first vehicle speed at which the speed ratio reaches a predetermined first value smaller than a maximum value of the speed ratio that the power transmission device can take, the control unit increases the rotational speed of an engine from a first rotational speed of the engine corresponding to the first vehicle speed. The first value is greater than a second value of the speed ratio at the time when, with the transmission route in the second mode, a rotational speed of a first motor and a rotational speed of a second motor are equal.
