Abstract:
(EN) A vapor display device includes a water tank [101], an expansion chamber [102] for creating vapor (which may contain scents), an airbox [104] for creating a laminar flow of air and vapor, and a projector [107] for projecting light onto the vapor display screen. The airbox has a series of mesh and honeycomb panels, preferably made of hexagonal cells having 3/16 inch width. Preferably, the vapor consists of water droplets having mean diameters in the range from 10 to 20 microns, and the laminar flow of air and vapor comprises between 1% and 5% water vapor. Potentiometers allow user control of vapor density, vapor flow speed, and airflow speed. A modular design allows the device to be used in different orientations.
(FR) L'invention concerne un dispositif d'affichage à vapeur comprenant un réservoir d'eau [101], une chambre d'expansion [102] permettant de créer de la vapeur (qui peut contenir des parfums), une prise d'air [104] permettant de créer un écoulement laminaire d'air et de vapeur, et un projecteur [107] permettant de projeter de la lumière sur l'écran d'affichage à vapeur. La prise d'air a une série de panneaux en mailles et nids d'abeilles, réalisés de préférence à partir de cellules hexagonales ayant une largeur de 3/16 pouces. De préférence, la vapeur est constituée de gouttelettes d'eau ayant des diamètres moyens compris entre 10 et 20 microns, et l'écoulement laminaire d'air et de vapeur comporte entre 1 % et 5 % de vapeur d'eau. Des potentiomètres permettent à l'utilisateur de contrôler la densité de la vapeur, la vitesse d'écoulement de la vapeur, et la vitesse de l'écoulement d'air. Une conception modulaire permet au dispositif d'être utilisé selon différentes orientations.
