Abstract:
Provided are a fluorescence observation device, an endoscopic system, a processor device, and an operation method with which quantitative diagnosis, etc. can be performed without regard to individual differences between specimens. The fluorescence observation device (10) is provided with an oxygen saturation-calculating section (73), a reference region-setting section (74), a region of interest-setting section (75), a normalized fluorescence intensity-calculating section (76), and a fluorescence image-generating section (77). The oxygen saturation-calculating section (73) calculates the oxygen saturation of the specimen for each pixel. The reference region-setting section (74) sets the reference region of the specimen on the basis of oxygen saturation. The region of interest-setting section (75) sets the region of interest in the specimen. The normalized fluorescence intensity-calculating section (76) calculates the normalized fluorescence intensity, which represents the normalized emitted light intensity of the fluorescence, by dividing the fluorescence intensity of the region of interest calculated using the pixel values of the region of interest by a standard fluorescence intensity calculated using the pixel values of the reference region of the fluorescence image signal obtained by imaging the specimen using fluorescence. The fluorescence image-generating section (77) generates a fluorescence image on the basis of the normalized fluorescence intensity.
