Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to retain the convenience that is offered by power storage equipment during a power outage while allowing the possibility of obtaining remuneration through that power storage equipment, thereby creating incentives promoting usage of power storage equipment. A power management device (10) according to the present invention comprises a first management unit (11), a second management unit (12), a first predict unit (13), a second predict unit (14), and a determination unit (15). The first management unit (11) manages the remaining charge capacity of power storage equipment (21). The second management unit (12) manages power outage information of a power grid (30). The first predict unit (13) predicts the power quantity which electrical loads (2) consume in a power outage period as first power information. The second predict unit (14) predicts the remaining charge capacity at the time whereat the power outage period ends as a predicted remaining charge capacity, using the first power information. If the predicted remaining charge capacity exceeds a prescribed reference value, the determination unit (15) determines that a condition for participating in an electricity market has been established.
