Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to obtain a switch device used in a power conversion device that can be stably controlled and is equipped with a shunt resistor and a switching element. The switch device provided in the power conversion device disposed between a power supply and a load comprises: a switching element (21a) having a gate terminal; a gate drive circuit (51a) for applying a drive voltage (Vcc) to the gate terminal of the switching element (21a); and a control unit (8) for generating a drive signal supplied to the gate drive circuit (51a). The switch device is designed so that the value obtained by subtracting the threshold voltage (Vth) of the switching element (21a) from the drive voltage (Vcc) applied to the gate terminal of the switching element (21a) becomes larger than the product of a resistor value of (Rsh + Rdc) from the emitter of the switching element (21a) to the negative electrode of the gate drive circuit (51a) and the maximum current value (Ipeak) conducted through the switching element (21a).
