(EN)Provided are an apparatus and a method for encoding and decoding audio signals, in which when determining a masking threshold according to a psychoacoustic model, accurate results may be obtained for a short window-based audio signal as well as for a long window-based audio signal. The apparatus for encoding audio signals according to the present invention comprises a masking threshold determining unit configured to determine, on the basis of a frame length of a first window having a divided audio signal, a masking threshold for a second window that has a different frame length from that of the first window.
(FR)La présente invention concerne un appareil et un procédé de codage et de décodage de signaux audio grâce auxquels, lors d'une détermination d'un seuil de masquage en fonction d'un modèle psycho-acoustique, des résultats précis peuvent être obtenus pour un signal audio basé sur une fenêtre courte et pour un signal audio basé sur une fenêtre longue. L'appareil de codage de signaux audio d'après la présente invention comprend une unité de détermination de seuil de masquage conçue pour déterminer, sur la base d'une longueur de trame d'une première fenêtre ayant un signal audio divisé, un seuil de masquage pour une seconde fenêtre qui a une longueur de trame différente de celle de la première fenêtre.
