Title: ACCESS INFORMATION HANDLING IN A MOBILE NETWORK WITH CELLULAR NETWORK ACCESSES AND WIRELESS LOCAL AREA NETWORK ACCESSES
Abstract:
In a mobile network with cellular network accesses (132, 134) and wireless local area network accesses (136), a first network node (123) controls one or more of the wireless local area network accesses and a second network node (121, 122) controls one or more of the cellular network accesses (132, 134). The first network node (123) records a time of a last radio contact event of a user equipment (300) with respect to a wireless local area network access (136) controlled by the first network node (123). In response to a request from a third network node (150, 160), the first network node (123) indicates the recorded time of the last radio contact event to the third network node (150, 160). The second network node (121, 122) records a time of a last radio contact event of the user equipment (300) with respect to a cellular network access (136) controlled by the second network node (121, 122). In response to a request from the third network node (150, 160), the second network node (121, 122) indicates the recorded time of the last radio contact event to the third network node (150, 160). The third network node (150, 160) may use the indicated times of the last radio contact event to determine whether the user equipment (300) is attached to a wireless local area network access (136) or to a cellular network access (132, 134).
