Abstract:
(EN) Optical gyroscope devices and methods based on optical interferometric configurations to minimize optical loss and enhance the device energy efficiency. In one implementation, optical polarization control is provided in an optical gyroscope to reduce the optical loss in routing light to and from an optical ring that senses the rotation.
(FR) La présente invention concerne des dispositifs et des procédés de gyroscopes optiques basés sur des configurations interférométriques optiques permettant de réduire à un minimum les pertes optiques et d'améliorer l'efficacité énergétique du dispositif. Dans un mode de mise en œuvre, une commande de la polarisation optique est prévue dans un gyroscope optique afin de limiter les pertes optiques lors de l'acheminement de lumière au départ et en direction d'un anneau optique qui détecte la rotation.
