Abstract:
(EN) A housing for an electronic device, including an aluminum layer enclosing a volume that includes a radio-frequency (RF) antenna is provided. The housing includes a window aligned with the RF antenna; the window including a non-conductive material filling a cavity in the aluminum layer; and a thin aluminum oxide layer adjacent to the aluminum layer and to the non-conductive material; wherein the non-conductive material and the thin aluminum oxide layer form an RF-transparent path through the window. A housing for an electronic device including an integrated RF-antenna is also provided. A method of manufacturing a housing for an electronic device as described above is provided.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un logement pour dispositif électronique comprenant une couche d'aluminium renfermant un volume qui contient une antenne radiofréquence (RF). Le logement comprend : une fenêtre alignée avec l'antenne RF, la fenêtre contenant un matériau non conducteur remplissant une cavité dans la couche d'aluminium; et une fine couche d'oxyde d'aluminium adjacente à la couche d'aluminium et au matériau non conducteur, le matériau non conducteur et la fine couche d'oxyde d'aluminium formant un trajet RF transparent à travers la fenêtre. La présente invention concerne également un logement pour dispositif électronique contenant une antenne RF intégrée. La présente invention concerne en outre un procédé de fabrication d'un logement pour dispositif électronique tel que susmentionné.
