Abstract:
An embodiment of the present disclosure comprises: an illumination system that irradiates a subject with illumination light by sequentially emitting said illumination light from a plurality of different irradiation directions with reference to said subject; an image-capturing element arranged at a position where said illumination light that has passed through said subject is incident, said image-capturing element acquiring a plurality of images that differ in accordance with said different irradiation directions; an image processing unit that forms a high-resolution image of said subject on the basis of said plurality of images, said high-resolution image having a better resolution than each of said plurality of images; and a memory storing data that indicates, for each of said plurality of irradiation directions, the proportion at which a light beam that passes over the upper surface of a plurality of sub-pixels included in each pixel of said image-capturing element is incident on a photoelectric conversion unit of said pixel. The image processing unit forms said high-resolution image of said subject on the basis of said data read out from said memory by employing, as a vector, a set of pixel values constituting each of said plurality of images, said set corresponding to said plurality of irradiation directions.
