(EN) According to the invention, a current tyre radius is determined on the basis of at least one vehicle movement speed, in particular in a straight line, and at least one associated tyre rotation speed, said tyre rotating freely. A tyre reference radius is determined, associated with the vehicle movement speed, on the basis of data relating to variations in the tyre reference radius as a function of the vehicle movement speed. Tyre wear is estimated from the determined current and reference radii.
(FR) On détermine un rayon courant du pneu, à partir d'au moins une vitesse de déplacement du véhicule, notamment en ligne droite, et d'au moins une vitesse associée de rotation du pneu, ledit pneu tournant librement. On détermine un rayon de référence du pneu, associé à ladite vitesse de déplacement de véhicule, à partir de données d'évolution du rayon de référence du pneu en fonction de la vitesse de déplacement du véhicule. On estime l'usure du pneu à partir des rayons, courant et de référence, déterminés.
