(EN)A method of locating a drilling apparatus and/or a borehole in a subterranean region, comprising the steps of: (A) transmitting seismic waves into the subterranean region during a subterranean drilling operation, the seismic waves being transmitted from a location remote (8) from said drilling apparatus; (B) detecting (14) a seismic response from said drilling apparatus or borehole (5); and (C) comparing said detected response with predetermined seismic survey data of said subterranean region to determine the location of said apparatus or borehole.
(FR)La présente invention concerne un procédé de localisation d'un appareil de forage et/ou d'un trou de forage dans une région souterraine, le procédé comprenant les étapes suivantes : (A) l'émission d'ondes sismiques dans la région souterraine lors d'une opération de forage souterrain, les ondes sismiques étant émises à partir d'un emplacement éloigné dudit appareil de forage ; (B) la détection d'une réponse sismique provenant dudit appareil de forage ou dudit trou de forage ; et (C) la comparaison de ladite réponse détectée à des données de prospection sismique prédéterminées de ladite région souterraine pour déterminer l'emplacement dudit appareil ou dudit trou de forage.
