The first memory stores a first device identifier. A second device (18) comprises at least one second memory (184). The second device comprises or is connected to a user interface (162, 164). The second memory stores user authentication data and a user identifier. The method comprises the following steps. The first device sends to the second device a first message (22) including a request for accessing a service accompanied with the first device identifier. The second device prompts its user to enter, through the user interface, data. The second device verifies whether the entered data does or does not match the user authentication data. Only if the entered data matches the user authentication data, then the second device sends to a server (112) a second message (28) including a request for accessing a service accompanied with the first device identifier and the user identifier. The server sends to the second device a third message (210) including the first device identifier and data for accessing a service, as request response. And the second device sends to the first device a fourth message (212) including the data for accessing a service. The invention also relates to a corresponding system.
