Abstract:
(EN) A Rankine cycle system useful for the conversion of waste heat into mechanical and/or electrical energy is provided. The system features a novel configuration in which a first closed loop thermal energy recovery cycle (1) comprising a first working fluid stream and a second closed loop thermal energy recovery cycle (2) comprising a second working fluid stream interact but do not mix. The two thermal energy recovery cycles interact thermally via heat exchangers, a first heat exchanger (36) configured to transfer heat from the first working fluid stream to the second working fluid stream, and a second heat exchanger (37) configured to transfer heat from the second working fluid stream to the first working fluid stream. In one or more embodiments, the Rankine cycle system is adapted for the use of supercritical carbon dioxide as the working fluid.
(FR) L'invention concerne un système à cycle de Rankine utile dans la conversion de chaleur résiduelle en énergie mécanique et/ou électrique. Le système selon l'invention présente une nouvelle configuration dans laquelle un premier cycle de récupération d'énergie thermique en boucle fermée comprenant un premier flux de fluide thermodynamique, et un deuxième cycle de récupération d'énergie thermique en boucle fermée comprenant un deuxième flux de fluide thermodynamique interagissent sans se mélanger. Les deux cycles de récupération d'énergie thermique interagissent thermiquement par l'intermédiaire d'échangeurs de chaleur, un premier échangeur de chaleur étant configuré pour transférer de la chaleur du premier flux de fluide thermodynamique vers le deuxième flux de fluide thermodynamique, et un deuxième échangeur de chaleur étant configuré pour transférer de la chaleur du deuxième flux de fluide thermodynamique vers le premier flux de fluide thermodynamique. Dans au moins un mode de réalisation, le système selon l'invention est conçu pour utiliser du dioxyde de carbone supercritique comme fluide thermodynamique.
