Abstract:
A control device according to the present invention, when a drive mode of an internal combustion engine is to be switched from a lean combustion mode to a stoichiometric combustion mode (S6), shifts the operating point of the internal combustion engine so that engine torque allocation is decreased with respect to a demanded torque (S7), and then implements air-fuel ratio control so as to decrease the air-fuel ratio of the internal combustion engine (S8).
