Abstract

A server 402 determines modified flow speed data for each navigable segment of a recommended navigable stretch. The modified flow speed data is determined so as to make the segment more favourable when a route is determined by a navigation device through the navigable network using the flow speed data. The server transmits the modified flow speed data to a set of one or more navigation devices 400 for use by the or each device at least for the purposes of determining a route through the network of navigable segments. Each navigation device then determines a route to a destination using the modified flow speed data.

Un serveur 402 détermine des données modifiées de vitesse d'écoulement pour chaque segment navigable d'un tronçon navigable recommandé. Les données modifiées de vitesse d'écoulement sont déterminées de façon à rendre le segment plus favorable lorsqu'un itinéraire est déterminé par un dispositif de navigation à travers le réseau navigable en utilisant les données de vitesse d'écoulement. Le serveur envoie les données modifiées de vitesse d'écoulement à un ensemble d'un ou plusieurs dispositifs de navigation 400 en vue de leur utilisation par ledit ou chacun desdits dispositifs, dans le but au moins de déterminer un itinéraire à travers le réseau de segments navigables. Chaque dispositif de navigation détermine ensuite un itinéraire jusqu'à une destination en utilisant les données modifiées de vitesse d'écoulement.
