[Problem] To provide a disc drive capable of efficiently obtaining a maximum recording speed for a multi-layer optical disc. [Solution] The present invention is a disc drive which performs recording to an optical disc having a plurality of recording layers and which executes OPC processing with respect to one recording layer among the plurality of recording layers at each of different recording speeds so as to obtain a value for optimal recording power for each recording speed. Next, on the basis of the value of the obtained optimal recording power for each of the recording speeds, recording power ratios among the recording speeds are calculated. Next, OPC processing is executed at a predetermined recording speed with respect to the plurality of recording layers to obtain a value of an optimal recording power for each recording layer. Then, on the basis of the recording power ratios among the recording speeds, the values of the optimal recording powers for each of the recording layers, and the maximum output value of the light source, the maximum recording speed for each of the recording layers is obtained.

[Problème] Fournir un lecteur de disque capable d'obtenir efficacement une vitesse d'enregistrement maximale pour un disque optique multicouche. [Solution] La présente invention est un lecteur de disque qui exécute un enregistrement sur un disque optique ayant une pluralité de couches d'enregistrement et qui exécute un traitement OPC en ce qui concerne une couche d'enregistrement parmi la pluralité de couches d'enregistrement à chaque vitesse d'enregistrement différente afin d'obtenir une valeur pour une puissance d'enregistrement optimale pour chaque vitesse d'enregistrement.
