Abstract

A method for improving a power converter's efficiency comprises detecting an input voltage of a power converter,determining an operation mode of the power converter based upon the input voltage of the power converter and generating a plurality of gate drive signals based upon a damped gain control,wherein the damped gain control is configured such that an output voltage of the power converter is in a range from a tightly regulated output voltage to an unregulated output voltage.

L'invention concerne un procédé permettant d'améliorer le rendement d'un convertisseur de puissance qui consiste à détecter une tension d'entrée d'un convertisseur de puissance, à déterminer un mode de fonctionnement du convertisseur de puissance sur la base de la tension d'entrée du convertisseur de puissance et à générer une pluralité de signaux de pilotage de grille sur la base d'une commande de gain atténué, la commande de gain atténuée étant configurée de telle sorte qu'une tension de sortie du convertisseur de puissance est comprise entre une tension de sortie étroitement régulée et une tension de sortie non régulée.
