This invention concerns a system (10) for lifting a structure (100), such as a canopy of a filling station, which is, in use, supported on at least one column (102). The system (10) includes a pair of brackets (12, 14) that are locatable on the column (102) in such a manner that they are separately movable along the column (102). An actuator (18) is connectable between the two brackets (12, 14) so that the relative movement between the brackets (12, 14) is controlled by actuating the actuator (18) when connected to the brackets (12, 14). In the system (10) each bracket (12, 14) has associated fixing means (20) for releasably securing the bracket (12, 14) to the column (102) so as to prevent movement of the bracket (12, 14) on the column (102) when the fixing means (20) is secured to the column (102) and allow movement of the bracket (12, 14) on the column (102) when the fixing means (20) is released from the column (102). The invention also concerns a method of lifting a structure (100), such as a canopy of a filling station, using the system (10).

L'invention concerne un système (10) destiné à lever une structure (100), comme un toit d'une station de remplissage, laquelle est, lorsqu'elle est utilisée, supportée sur au moins une colonne (102). Le système (10) comporte une paire de supports (12, 14) pouvant être placés sur la colonne (102) de sorte à être mobiles indépendamment le long de la colonne (102). Un actionneur (18) peut être relié entre les deux supports (12, 14) de telle sorte que le mouvement relatif entre les supports (12, 14) est contrôlé en actionnant l'actionneur (18) quand celui-ci est relié aux supports (12, 14). Dans le système (10) chaque support (12, 14) comporte un moyen de fixation associé (20) permettant de fixer le support (12, 14) à la colonne (102) tout en pouvant le libérer, de façon à empêcher tout mouvement du support (12, 14) sur la colonne (102) quand le moyen de fixation (20) est fixé sur la colonne (102) et permet un mouvement du support (12, 14) sur la colonne (102) quand le moyen de fixation (20) est libéré de la colonne (102). L'invention concerne également un procédé de levage d'une structure (100), comme le toit d'une station de remplissage, utilisant le système (10).
