This invention refers to semi-submerged or fully-submerged at controlled depths floating truss structures comprising a multitude of cylindrical or other shape truss members (C, T, Fv, Fh, Fa), most of which have independent buoyancy and are interconnected through fixed or articulated systems-joints (N1-N1a), that facilitate fast and easy assembly-disassembly of members without disturbing near-by members or the truss system. All floating structures of existing state of the art have two common disadvantages, they are rocked from waves and can sink fast when there is some rupture-damage and large volume water-tight compartments that provide critical part of buoyancy are flooded. The floating structures of this invention are practically unsinkable and unaffected from waves, due to the very large number of truss members with independent buoyancy and the very small forces at random directions created from waves on the small volume members, which cancel each other out. The invention enables design-construction of semi-submerged or fully-submerged floating structures, for conventional or special applications, either for waterborne transport or for floating installations of any kind, which will be completely free from these two disadvantages.

L'invention concerne des structures flottantes en treillis semi-immergées ou entièrement immergées à des profondeurs réglées, qui comprennent une multitude d'éléments en treillis cylindriques ou présentant une autre forme (C, T, Fv, Fh, Fa), la plupart de ceux-ci comportant une flottabilité indépendante et étant reliés entre eux par des systèmes-joints fixes ou articulés (N1-N1a), qui facilitent l'assemblage-démontage rapide et aisé des éléments sans perturber les éléments voisins du système en treillis. Toutes les structures flottantes existantes présentent deux inconvénients communs : elles sont balancées par les vagues et peuvent couler rapidement en cas d'endommagement du type rupture, quand des compartiments de grand volume étanches à l'eau, qui fournissent une partie critique de la flottabilité, se remplissent d'eau. Les structures flottantes de l'invention sont pratiquement insubmersibles et insensibles aux vagues, en raison du très grand nombre d'éléments en treillis présentant une flottabilité indépendante, et de très faibles forces, produites dans des directions aléatoires par les vagues sur les éléments de petit volume, qui s'annulent mutuellement. L'invention permet de concevoir-construire des structures flottantes semi-immergées ou entièrement immergées destinées à des applications classiques ou spéciales, soit pour le transport par voie d'eau, soit pour des installations flottantes de tout type, et qui sont complètement dépourvues de ces deux inconvénients.
