Abstract

A system and method for range of motion evaluation and recording for physical therapy, ergonomics, training, and individual rehabilitation. While talking with the physical therapists, a frequently mentioned problem they encountered was to evaluate the range of motion of a patient during the performance of functional movements like standing up from a chair, taking objects off of the ground, squatting, and gait analysis. Physical therapists currently use a goniometer to measure the motion of a single angle and visually inspect for inconsistencies and subjectively assess the patient during performance of functional tasks.

L'invention concerne un système et un procédé pour une évaluation et un enregistrement d'amplitude de mouvement pour une thérapie physique, une ergonomie, un entraînement et une réadaptation individuelle. Lors d'une discussion avec les physiothérapeutes, un problème fréquemment mentionné est l'évaluation de l'amplitude de mouvement d'un patient pendant la réalisation de mouvements fonctionnels tels que le lever d'une chaise, le ramassage d'objets sur le sol, l'accroupissement, et l'analyse de démarche. Les physiothérapeutes utilisent actuellement un goniomètre pour mesurer le mouvement d'un angle unique, et effectuent une inspection visuelle à la recherche d'irrégularités de manière à évaluer subjectivement le patient pendant la réalisation de tâches fonctionnelles.
