Abstract:
(EN) Prosthetic devices and methods of controlling the same are provided. A prosthetic ankle device includes a foot unit and lower limb member moveable relative to one another and defining an ankle angle therebetween. The prosthetic ankle device further includes a controller to operate the device using different ankle angles depending on, for example, a user's gait speed. Methods of controlling the prosthetic ankle device include operating the device at different ankle angles depending on gait speed. For example, the prosthetic ankle device can provide for relatively more dorsiflexson at relatively slower gait speeds and relatively more piantarflexion at relatively faster gait speeds.
(FR) L'invention concerne des dispositifs de prothèses, et des méthodes de contrôle desdites prothèses. Une prothèse de cheville comprend une unité-pied et un élément-membre inférieur, mobiles l'un par rapport à l'autre et définissant un angle de cheville entre eux. La prothèse de cheville comprend également un système de contrôle permettant d'actionner le dispositif en utilisant plusieurs angles de cheville différents selon, par exemple, la vitesse de marche de l'utilisateur. Les méthodes de contrôle de la prothèse de cheville consistent à faire fonctionner le dispositif à différents angles de cheville différents selon la vitesse de marche de l'utilisateur. La prothèse de cheville permet ainsi une dorsiflexion relativement plus importante, à une vitesse de marche relativement plus lente, et une flexion plantaire relativement plus importante, à une vitesse de marche relativement plus rapide.
