An eyewear device includes a noise cancelling microphone array, and corresponding method for the same. The eyewear device and its method of use facilitates human-machine interaction using speech recognition by reducing unwanted noise that corrupts the desired speech and thereby reduces errors in speech. The eyewear device includes an eyeglasses frame, an array of microphones coupled to the eyeglasses frame, the array of microphones including at least a first microphone and a second microphone, the first microphone coupled to the eyeglasses frame about a temple region, the temple region can be located approximately between a top corner of a lens opening and a support arm, and providing a first audio channel output, and the second microphone coupled to the eyeglasses frame about an inner edge of the lens opening, and providing a second audio channel output. Embodiments can further include a third and fourth omni-directional microphone, providing a third and fourth audio channel, respectively.

L'invention concerne un article de lunetterie muni d'un réseau de microphones anti-bruit, et un procédé correspondant pour ledit article. L'article de lunetterie et son procédé d'utilisation facilitent l'interaction homme-machine lors de l'utilisation d'une reconnaissance vocale par réduction des bruits parasites altérant la parole désirée et réduisent ainsi les erreurs de reconnaissance de la parole. L'article de lunetterie comprend une monture de lunettes, un réseau de microphones reliés à la monture de lunettes, le réseau de microphones comprenant au moins un premier microphone et un deuxième microphone, le premier microphone étant relié à la monture de lunettes dans une zone de branche, laquelle peut être située à peu près entre un angle supérieur d'une ouverture de montage de verre et une branche d'appui, et fournissant une première sortie de canal audio, et le deuxième microphone étant couplé à la monture de lunettes aux environs d'un bord intérieur de l'ouverture de montage de verre, et fournissant une deuxième sortie de canal audio. Certains modes de réalisation peuvent comprendre en outre un troisième et un quatrième microphone omnidirectionnel, fournissant respectivement un troisième et un quatrième canal audio.
