The present invention addresses the problem of providing: a liquid crystal composition with which drop marks do not readily form during production, which is suitable for a liquid crystal display element achieving a stable liquid-crystal-material discharge amount in a one-drop filling (ODF) step, and with which dielectric anisotropy, viscosity, nematic-phase upper-limit temperature, nematic-phase stability at low temperatures, various properties when used as a liquid crystal display element, i.e. γor the like, and display-element burn-in properties are not adversely affected; and a liquid crystal display element using said liquid crystal composition. Provided is a liquid crystal composition including, as a first component, at least one compound from the group consisting of compounds represented by general formula (1), and, as a second component, at least one compound from the group consisting of compounds represented by general formula (2). Also provided is a liquid crystal display element in which the liquid crystal composition including the first component and the second component is used.

La présente invention concerne : une composition de cristaux liquides avec laquelle des marques de goutte ne se forment pas facilement lors de la production, la composition étant appropriée pour un élément d'affichage à cristaux liquides présentant une quantité stable de décharge de matériau de cristal liquide dans une étape de remplissage à une goutte (ODF), et avec laquelle l'anisotropie diélectrique, la viscosité, la température limite supérieure de la phase nématique, la stabilité de la phase nématique à basse température, diverses propriétés quand elle est utilisée comme élément d'affichage à cristaux liquides, c'est-à-dire γ ou des propriétés équivalentes, et les propriétés de combustion des éléments d'affichage ne sont pas affectées ; et un élément d'affichage à cristaux liquides utilisant ladite composition de cristaux liquides. La composition de cristaux liquides de l'invention contient, en tant que premier composant, au moins un composé choisi parmi les composés représentés par la formule générale (1) et, en tant que second composant, au moins un composé choisi parmi les composés représentés par la formule générale (2). L'invention concerne également un élément d'affichage à cristaux liquides dans lequel la composition de cristaux liquides contenant le premier composant et le second composant est utilisée.

 本発明が解決しようとする課題は、誘電率異方性、粘度、ネマチック相上限温度、低温でのネマチック相安定性、γ等の液晶表示素子としての諸特性及び表示素子の焼き付き特性を悪化させること無く、製造時の滴下痕が発生し難く、ODF工程における安定した液晶材料の吐出量を実現する液晶表示素子に適する液晶組成物及びそれを用いた液晶表示素子を提供することにある。 第一成分として一般式(1)で表される化合物の群から少なくとも一つと、第二成分として一般式(2)で表される化合物の群から少なくとも一つと、を含む液晶組成物液晶組成物を提供し、併せて該第一成分及び第二成分を含有する液晶組成物を用いた液晶表示素子を提供する。
