Embodiments of the invention relates to conversion of hydrocarbon material including but not limited to coal and biomass to a synthetic liquid transportation fuel. The invention includes the integration of a non-catalytic first reaction scheme, which converts carbonaceous materials into a solid product that includes char and ash and a gaseous product; a non-catalytic second reaction scheme, which converts a portion of the gaseous product from the first reaction scheme to light olefins and liquid byproducts; a traditional gas-cleanup operations; and the third reaction scheme to combine the olefins from the second reaction scheme to produce a targeted fuel like liquid transportation fuels.

Des modes de réalisation de l'invention concernent la conversion d'une matière hydrocarbonée comprenant mais sans être limités du charbon et de la biomasse en un carburant de transport liquide de synthèse. L'invention comprend l'intégration d'un premier schéma réactionnel non catalytique, qui convertit les matières carbonées en un produit solide qui comprend un produit de carbonisation et des cendres et un produit gazeux ; un deuxième schéma réactionnel non catalytique, qui convertit une partie du produit gazeux provenant du premier schéma réactionnel en oléfines légères et en sous-produits liquides ; une opération d'épuration de gaz traditionnelle ; et le troisième schéma réactionnel pour combiner les oléfines provenant du deuxième schéma réactionnel pour produire un carburant ciblé de type carburants de transport liquides.
